Hotel 't Heerenlogement

I didn't stay for very long, but the service was quite nice and the people were friendly. My main problem was the bathroom and water heating system. There were no warning notices or instructions on how to use them. It would be helpful if management sorted that out for tourists like me.

We’ve stayed here several times and noticed new amenities and improvements on each visit. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are clean and cosy. It’s a charming historic hotel in a beautiful area, with delicious food from the kitchen and really kind, helpful service. One of those places you want to return to!

The building is charming and historic, and the young staff were warm and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good too. But my room, above the restaurant, felt like it had been waiting for a renovation since 1963, nothing like the positive reviews. The decor was dated and sad, from the carpeting and bathroom tile to the walls. The bed had an ugly, staticky mauve polyester cover, a poly quilt and pillows, stretch polyester sheets, and a brown faux leather quilted mat of some kind at the foot. Thankfully, I found ordinary cotton percale sheets in the cheap “armoire.” At least the outlets worked and the shower got hot enough. Leaving the room was the best part. Please renovate it so it’s up to par.

Work booked this place for me, so I can't speak to whether it was good value. The staff were very welcoming, and the food was tasty, with the fish cooked well. My room was clean, though the decor took me back to my granny's house when I was younger. Whoever cleaned the shower did a good job from eye level down, but left the black mold higher up.
