Hotel Zeezicht

I was here for work, but I'd come back on my own. I stayed in two different rooms and had no complaints about either: both were clean and tidy when I got back each afternoon, and both had very good views of the port. The restaurant was incredible. I tried several dishes, and every one was top quality in both taste and presentation. The meat was always ready and the fish was juicy. I'm grateful to the staff, who were friendly and attentive at reception and in the restaurant.

The food was tasty and the staff were nice, and they didn't charge us for the day we canceled. We had to cut our visit short, though, because the bed was much too soft. I'd give the service four stars, since I expected better parking arrangements.

Getting here from the airport by public transport was easy. The room was lovely and clean, the decor was great, and the location worked well. The staff were very friendly, and I have no complaints.

We stopped in during the tall ship festival for a cold drink and some air conditioning. There were plenty of seats inside, which worked perfectly. The views of the canal and bridges were fun, with lots of boat traffic passing through, and we had time to enjoy them since we weren't in a hurry. Service was slow, though. They seemed very short-staffed, and four drinks plus three desserts took ages. Don't come here if you're pressed for time.
