We spent a week here for our honeymoon, and it was fantastic. The setting is wonderfully peaceful, surrounded by nature without too many people around. Breakfast and the optional dinner were amazing, with food so good it was hard to believe the owners aren't cooks. It's also a great base for day trips: Amsterdam, Den Haag, and Rotterdam are all under an hour by car, and Gouda is only 12 km away. Then you can come back and relax in nature. We'll be back! 🤩😁😃🤗
The bikes were away for maintenance, which was a shame, but we still had a lovely four-day stay. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice and tasty homemade extras like bread, desserts, and muffins. There was more than enough to take for lunch too. The cottage had a fridge and coffee and tea facilities. Behind it, there's a barbecue and a kind of kitchen for cooking. A boat ride was fun, and the water wasn't busy, with only local boat traffic. You also need the boat to get to the car.
The hosts are so friendly, and there's plenty to do, whether you stay and relax or go boating. Breakfast is superb, and dinner can be a three-course meal that's worthy of a restaurant. A great location and a bed and breakfast I'd highly recommend.
We were invited to dinner by guests from Rietveld Cottage. The food was tasty, with an Italian touch. It was pretty funny having to sail over there in an electric boat.
What a spectacular spot, absolutely breathtaking. Moving everything around by boat would've been no problem for me if I were 20 years younger. A real paradise for whoever owns it next. Toi toi toi
