Lodges near the Rhine - Sustainable Residence

We slept so well here, thanks to the very quiet nights. The host was friendly and even shared fresh eggs from the chickens. The house sits in lovely countryside, and the small town has a charming, relaxed feel. We stayed three nights during our Netherlands trip and loved the peaceful pace. Amsterdam and Rotterdam are easy to reach from here, and I’d highly recommend it if you want a quieter side of Dutch country life.

After a very long day of travel, the lodges made it easy to relax. There was greenery, water and chickens all around, and the lodges themselves were lovely. Pieter was pleasant to deal with, communicative, kind and flexible. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We had an unforgettable stay in a cozy house with a stunning view. The host gave us a warm welcome and had a charming smile, and we had fresh chicken eggs every morning. If you’re after peace and quiet in nature, with magical scenery and a wonderful host, this is the place in the Netherlands.

We loved watching the chickens run about and the lambs play in the field beside the house. We’ll miss Ginger the super smart chicken and her chicken squad! The garden is peaceful, the house is beautiful and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Pieter was a perfect host, kind, funny and full of good tips for restaurants and things to do nearby. There were fresh eggs, bikes and great parking, and it’s lovely to walk along the Rhine. Shops, restaurants and public transport are nearby too. Such a peaceful place for a holiday. Thank you, Pieter, for the warm welcome.
