Holiday Chalet Basic

The house and its surroundings were really nice, but our stay became stressful because the basics we paid extra for weren’t provided properly. We paid for towels and sheets, yet only got some of the sheets and no towels. When we asked, the park staff said it was strange, then claimed they hadn’t received payment, even though the website bills showed we had paid. In the end, the receptionist gave us three spare towels. We’re unlikely to get the money back for the missing items, either. There was also a €85 final cleaning fee, but the residence was very dirty when we arrived. The cabinets were dusty, rubbish from previous residents was still in the kitchen cupboards, and there was a bad smell upstairs. That’s not what you’d expect, especially after paying for cleaning. Those problems added up and ruined the stress-free holiday we’d hoped for. Making sure guests receive what they’ve paid extra for is basic, and that failed here, so I’m giving one star. I strongly advise against booking a stay here. If something goes wrong, you’re left to deal with it yourself, and they don’t seem to care or help.
