This used to be a hotel, but now it’s also a student dorm, with families living in the small rooms too. I don’t know whether it’s cheap to live there. Seems to be for students or families...

This is a student dorm, not a hotel. I stayed for a while and found the room nice and spacious, with its own bathroom and fridge. The common areas are in poor condition, especially the kitchens, which are simply filthy. Management is almost nonexistent and is often away on vacation. The Grand is very quiet, almost depressingly so, though the neighborhood is nice and close to the city center. It’s near the station, but still about a 15 minutes walk. The flexibility and relatively low price for a single room are the only reasons I’d recommend it, and then only as a temporary solution. The place feels derelict, poorly maintained, and gloomy, with management absent.
