Restaurant & Hotel Hoog Holten

The quiet and a wonderfully comfortable bed were exactly what I needed after a long hike. I could barely walk when Fanny welcomed me, and even though I hadn't booked, she arranged a room and asked whether I'd like dinner and breakfast. I said yes, and both were great, the dinner delicious and breakfast good. The Pieter Pad is almost on route for walkers. A lovely stay with great staff. I thank Fanny once more for her help, and highly recommend the place.

We enjoyed a run through the protected woodland in the morning, and the hotel's grounds were beautiful. Our room was very comfortable, with a roomy bathroom and a balcony facing the forest. In the evening, the staff kindly switched on the sauna for us. Breakfast was delicious, the service lovely, and sitting among the flowers with a view and coffee was a treat.

The area was quiet and the atmosphere was nice. My ground-floor room was a little noisy, and the bathroom had no window. Still, I enjoyed it overall.

The five-course surprise menu was 60 euro, and every dish worked for me, especially the dessert with drop sauce. We had dinner with my parents on the terrace, with lovely garden views in fantastic weather. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A very pleasant experience, and I'll definitely return.
