Breakfast was excellent, and this is a small hotel with just a few rooms right in the city. We were a family with a 16-year-old daughter and had tried to book one room with three beds, but apparently that wasn’t allowed at the time. So we had to take two rooms. When we arrived, though, they gave us one room with three beds. Paying for that second room felt unnecessary.

We arrived in July 2013, several hours before check-in, and were warmly welcomed anyway. The proprietor let us put our bags in the room while it was still being prepared. Breakfast was hearty, with freshly made tea and coffee. Our room faced the courtyard and was quiet, and the town was quiet too when I went out looking unsuccessfully for coffee at six the next morning. The WiFi worked quickly on the third floor, though its signal could have been stronger. Be aware that getting to the rooms means using a narrow, steep staircase, which is fine if you’re able to manage it. All in all, I recommend this hotel.

It feels like a proper Dutch family hotel. The people are super nice, the rooms are modern and clean, and the prices are good. My highest recommendation.

The people running the place are lovely, and breakfast was nice. The rooms look good and are clean, but they were so cold. Even with the radiator on day and night, I was still freezing.
