The owners are friendly, and this is a really nice family hotel. Its rooms are basic but perfectly good enough, and you're close to everything Hoorn has to offer.

Rob & Karen were excellent hosts, and all the staff made us feel welcome and were very helpful. We had a great family weekend at Hotel de Magneet, with breakfast included and a good selection to choose from. We also liked getting together at the hotel bar for a drink before dinner. The location is ideal, near the town centre. On a rainy evening Rob gave us a lift to the restaurant, and he also arranged a shuttle bus to the airport. Everyone in our group was happy with the hotel, and Hoorn is a beautiful destination.

Rob and the team were incredibly hospitable and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. We had a great time in the hotel's apartment room, with a lovely warm shower, a clean room, and a really good breakfast. The bar was a nice extra, too. It was an ideal base for a few days in beautiful Hoorn, and parking was less than two minutes away. I'd highly recommend Hotel De Magneet.

For €83 a night, we expected better. Everything felt dusty, dirty, and honestly pretty disgusting. The pillows, towels, and bath mat were stained, and there was hair in the sink. This was the worst hotel experience I've had.

The location is amazing, and the owners are great, really helpful people. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed. We were there for IronMan race day, and they helped us a lot with the logistics. They had breakfast ready at 5am, let us shower after the race, and supported us as we ran past the hotel 🙌🏻.
