What a grumpy woman.

Our B&B was spotless, and the hosts were warm and focused on making things easy for us. Breakfast was delicious and generous. It worked out perfectly for a festival weekend and bike rides around the area.

We'd gladly come back. This B&B is a great starting point for visiting the charming villages nearby, and I think a walk around the neighborhood is worthwhile too. Driving in, you get a real surprise from the setting and the area's history. Maybe that lovely history could be highlighted a bit more. We only booked our night here at the end of our first summer holiday, on the way back from Germany. The location was handy for the drive, and the good reviews made us choose it. Those reviews proved right: they welcomed us with coffee and pie, both delicious. The rooms and farmhouse have an interesting past, and some of the photos we were given showed that beautifully. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The other two rooms were occupied, but it stayed quiet. There's a place to sit outside, and breakfast was excellent, served in another lovely room. I did find the check-in time a little late. Since you arrive later than usual, an extra hour before check-out would make the morning feel less rushed and give you less sense that you have to leave. Even saying that is a compliment, really. I'd give it five stars, but put four as a way to show there might be something to improve. I can't think of what at the moment. It's also a perfect base for trips to the nearby villages. The owners were very friendly, and everything went smoothly. The property is lovely, with clean rooms that are arranged in a very practical way. We'd happily come back.
