Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort

The beach and dunes right beside Basecamp were a big highlight, and everyone was grateful to have nature so close. The team was lovely, kind, and always ready to help, and the meals were fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully put together. For our multi-day meeting with 50 people, the tiny houses gave participants their own comfortable space, with cosy couches and good setups. The Refter worked really well as a shared space for meals and meetings, with everything we needed. Since it’s shared, allow time to set up and pack down between sessions and meals. The Basecamp team helps, but adding about 10 minutes to the schedule for each changeover is useful. A small number of houses have accessibility issues, such as loft bedrooms or ladders. There were thoughtful touches all day, including good coffee machines, fresh juices, tea, sparkling water, and a range of tasty snacks. Basecamp made a great setting for connection, creativity, and inspiration. Several guests who have been to many organizational meetings called it the best venue they’d attended. The beach and its many good restaurants are only about a five-minute walk away. The staff are very welcoming, and they’ll happily sort you out with a good coffee or even a cocktail. There are lots of cool tiny houses, each making clever use of limited space. Whenever we visit, we try a different one. We’d recommend staying a few days or longer.

The hosts were so friendly and did more than expected to make sure we had what we needed, which made us feel at home. We loved the house, it was cosy and inviting, and the resort’s view made a peaceful backdrop for our quiet, relaxing break. Eco-resort Basecamp IJmuiden aan Zee is a lovely escape from the busy routine of everyday life. We’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a restful retreat, and can’t wait to return.

The eco-friendly idea is put together beautifully, and it felt easy to settle in while still being mindful of the environment. From arrival onward, I had a great stay at Basecamp IJmuiden aan Zee. A calm, eco-conscious getaway, and a wonderful experience all around. I’d highly recommend it! :)
