The hotel's one real plus is its central location on one of Rotterdam's popular streets, right by the nightlife. But it's loud, so don't expect a quiet night's sleep. The entrance looked decent, then check-in set a poor tone. The staff member seemed unmotivated, wore casual street clothes, spoke limited English, and was dismissive. I understand the price is lower, but the lack of professionalism was disappointing. The cleanliness was the worst part. The stairs were extremely steep and felt dangerous, and the carpets were filthy. We saw what looked like blood on the first floor and vomit on the second. The room ceiling was grimy, and its corners were disgusting and neglected. The sheets were torn, and the duvet had debris on it, like skin flakes. There was even a “cat sticker” matted with hair on the bedding. The bathroom was a little better than the bedroom, though its ceiling was dirty too. The next morning, a huge pile of pillows blocked the lobby and guests had to squeeze past. We cut our trip short and checked out early because the place felt unsanitary. I strongly advise against staying here. The central location doesn't make up for the poor cleanliness or lack of respect for guests.

I arrived late in the evening to find my entire bed covered in hair. At reception, the woman told me nobody was available to change the sheets and there were no other rooms. She said they would change them the next day when I asked, but after being out from early morning until evening, I came back and they still hadn't done it. Not a pleasant experience.

Be careful, this place comes close to a scam. After I booked, they messaged me saying I had to pay a €100 deposit in cash at reception. There was no mention of it on the website. I wouldn't mind if the deposit had been clearly stated there, but it wasn't. And don't bother calling the “hotel”, they don't answer the phone.

On July 14, staff were talking loudly from 10 pm until 12 pm. When I asked them to keep their voices down, they were rude and ignored me. One employee shouted very loudly before going home, too. It's a shame such antisocial people work in a place with rooms that have a pretty good bathroom and nice soap. I regret spending the money because I couldn't sleep properly in silence.
