The breakfast buffet cost $18 a day, which felt expensive for the limited options. It was the same food every day, and the hotel had no amenities. Management should improve its service and manner. I stayed at the Fletcher for about three weeks. It looks like they’re gradually updating the rooms, but mine still had carpet stains, and the toilet kept backing up. I’d initially booked 18 days and, a few days into my stay, asked the manager to move my checkout a day earlier, giving about two weeks’ notice. She said the reservation was through Expedia and they would need to call to make the change. I contacted Expedia, but when they called the front desk, the hotel refused to change the booking. Why have me contact Expedia if they weren’t going to allow me to leave a day early? Parking was limited, and one perfectly good space had been taped off. When I asked if they could remove the tape, they said the spot wasn’t ready, though I saw no construction there. I had to park on the grass or across the street.

At 11:30 pm, after driving in tired, I found out the reception couldn't tell whether my Booking payment by credit card had gone through. I was prepared to pay again and sort it out in the morning, but their card machine wasn't working and the receptionist had no support. After half an hour, I had to leave and look for another hotel. Extremely poor service and very unprofessional.

The photos feature an impressive castle, but our accommodation was in another building, a detail that wasn't made clear before booking. That was disappointing, so check this before reserving. Our room felt old, damp and poorly kept, and didn't resemble the online presentation. It was hot and badly ventilated, with no air conditioning. Opening the windows brought in mosquitoes and spiders, and some were already in the room. When we mentioned these problems, staff responded mockingly and unprofessionally, making us feel dismissed as if we were exaggerating. They said they had “never heard this before,” which left us feeling they weren't taking us seriously. The difference between the listing and what we found was misleading and unacceptable.
