I stayed in the Ooievaarsnest, though the other options looked just as lovely and well situated. These are individual cottages rather than rooms. Mine had two single beds with a comfortable mattress and nice bedding, a bathroom with towels, and a private kitchen with a fridge, stovetop, coffee and tea making facilities, dishes, pots, and pans. There was also a dining table, two comfortable chairs for putting your feet up, a TV with lots of channels, and several spots to sit outside. I appreciated the wheelbarrow and the option of getting help to bring my luggage to the cottage. There’s plenty of parking, plus a small shelter with an outlet for charging your bike. The horses in the meadow around the yard and the storks nesting right by the door all day were something special. The host and hostess were very friendly and available if you needed anything, but didn’t hover. The peaceful surroundings make it easy to explore the area on foot, by bike, or by car. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely return.

We only stayed two days, but it felt like a proper holiday. The chalet was roomy, beautifully finished, and had wonderfully comfortable beds and an excellent bathroom. It was fully equipped for two, and breakfast each morning was delicious. Gerrit and Else looked after us so warmly. Everything was just right, our compliments.

We came for four days of cycling in a fantastic area, and the accommodation was excellent. The bedroom and comfortable bed were great, and the bathroom was nice too. Breakfast was included, plentiful, and delicious. Gerrit and Else were kind, friendly hosts who were glad to help. The nearby railway was the one small drawback, though it didn’t really bother us. We’d happily recommend it.
