Europarcs Marina Strandbad

I was disappointed by the facilities. They look nice, but with the gym and spa only open from 9 to 17:00, I won’t get a chance to use them. Also, towels are extra and have to be requested.

It was okay, though the fitness and wellness center was one of the main reasons we chose the place. Apparently, access is by reservation, and it was fully booked during our stay. Reception was difficult to reach.

The area is quiet, and the new chalets are in a good location. There’s lots to do, including cycling, walks in Veluwe zoom, and visits to Doesburg, Dieren, or Arnhem, as well as water sports. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We did have a bad experience with our chalet: it hadn’t been cleaned after the obviously messy previous guests. Someone came to do a very quick clean while we waited outside, so we ended up cleaning it more thoroughly ourselves. There were spiderwebs, shoe prints, and dirt on some walls and inside one or two cupboards. I hope we were the only ones this happened to.

The houses are great, very cozy, with plenty of room between neighbors. We had a barbecue in the evening and listened to the birds and frogs having their own party. It’s a quiet place away from the city bustle, apart from the frogs at night. A few days here really recharged me, and the people working here were very nice. I can only recommend staying here.
