Bastion Hotel Leiden Voorschoten

The breakfast had very few options, the room wasn't cleaned, and the bathroom trash was left behind. There was no ventilation in the room, and no air conditioning. I should have checked that detail, since it was available, but I never expected a hotel charging so much to lack it. For what was offered, I don't think this place should cost more than 50 euros. I've stayed at other Bastion locations and had great experiences, but I wouldn't recommend this one in voorschoten to anyone, not even my dog. Honestly, stay away.

Bastion Hotel advertises tempting prices, but I had a bad experience when I tried to change the dates on a booking that allowed changes, after my conference date shifted. The hotel refused, and I had to get my money back through my credit card company. I found them dishonest and unreasonable. I'd advise anyone who books to pay by credit card for protection, though I think it's safer not to book with them at all.

The bathroom was very old and needs renovating. During my three days at Bation Hôtel Leiden, the room wasn't cleaned at all. There was just one large towel for two adults, no English-language TV channels, and no hairbrush in the bathroom. A very bad experience.

The staff were rude and mean throughout, and the place was far too expensive for what it offered. The corridors smelled of dry urine and smoke, it was very dark and dirty, and there was mold all over the shower walls. There was no air conditioning, and smoke from people outside came into the room. When I asked for a hair dryer, they said they were out and told me to go buy one. They didn't have coffee capsules either. On my last day, I found a blood stain under my socks, on the carpet in my room. I don't know how fresh blood got there. After being treated so badly, I tried to cancel the rest of my stay, but they made every excuse not to refund me. The worst hotel I've ever been to. Stay away if you have any self-respect.
