I’m still thinking about the breakfast. It was one of the best I’ve come across in all my travels, and the buffet was every bit as generous as it looks in the photos. I had a 60-mile ride ahead, so I made the most of it, including little tastes of Dutch favorites like spekkoek and pannekoeken. I stayed one night while cycling through the Netherlands. Hotel Lemmer is a lovely place set in a restored former mast-making workshop, with beautiful grounds and a comfortable room with all the expected amenities. The staff were easy to work with when I needed to arrange a late check-in. I highly recommend it.

I wasn’t staying at the hotel this time, but it looked wonderful. Last Sunday night, I broke a tire on my road bike while passing through Lemmer and went in to ask if anyone could help. The owner was incredibly helpful and immediately started searching for local bike shops that might be able to sort it out. Thank you!

For a visit to lemmer, this little hotel is the best place to stay. It’s very clean and the breakfast is really good. The one downside for me was the very hard beds, which left my back hurting.

Good location, about a five-minute walk from the town centre and plenty of restaurants and cafes. The atmosphere is nice, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
