There are lots of private cottages, so what’s provided can vary. Across the road, there’s a nice spot for a short walk, with or without a dog. The park is quiet and close to Lochem, and the Achterhoek is just fantastic. Zutphen, Deventer and other beautiful Hanseatic cities along the IJssel River are close by.

The forest is right across from this lovely park, with beautiful walking paths and great cycling routes. Dogs are allowed, though there aren’t any waste bins, so you do find "something" left behind here and there. A little playground by reception would be a nice addition.

It’s a peaceful place to spend some time, with mature greenery all around. There’s plenty to explore nearby, from castles and estates to windmills and museums, plus trails for walking and cycling.
