The rooms already have a nice, modern look after renovation. Management and staff have also been courteous and quick to answer questions. The work is still underway, though, and along with the covid restrictions it meant that most facilities beyond the rooms, including the bar, restaurant, and spa, weren't available. That's why I gave it three stars. From what I've seen, the finished hotel should be very nice. Depending on how the renovation turns out and which services are available, I could easily see it earning four or five stars.

I booked the 90-minute spa visit through the website. It was a relaxing experience for a reasonable price, a nice way to break up the routine now and then. The receptionist explained everything clearly, and I was seen right away. When I had trouble with a locker, she fixed it quickly. There were lounge chairs inside and outside, and the indoor pool was deep enough for me at 1.65 m. The outdoor jacuzzi is set in a lovely garden, though there were a few leaves in the water. The changing rooms and nearby spa areas were under construction, so I had to change in a small restroom beside the restaurant. The restaurant was empty, which let me use the whole room with the door open instead of just the enclosed toilet. The receptionist had warned me about the locker-room situation, but I suggest adding a note to the confirmation email or website as well.

The hygiene was the worst part, and it's why I won't return or recommend this hotel. Our room had dead flies on the bed, a dirty towel, and a dirty cup on the balcony, which was full of cigarettes and some liquid. When we complained, they said they knew the cleaning service wasn't good, but nobody came to clean. The pool was a big reason we booked, yet guests are required to be naked in the pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. That wasn't mentioned on booking.com, and it felt especially disgusting after hearing their admission about the cleaning. There were other problems from the start. I found the hotel on booking.com while looking for parking, pet-friendly rooms, and a swimming pool. We were told by phone to request pet bookings by email, though booking.com didn't say that. They never sent a confirmation until we called a third time to ask for one. The hotel has no parking lot; there is free street parking nearby, but that wasn't mentioned on the website. At reception, we were ignored for several minutes before anyone spoke to us. By phone, the pet fee was quoted as €15, but at check-in they tried to charge €25. The restaurant had just one vegetarian option, pasta, and no fresh drinks. We wanted to stay only that night and cancel the remaining days, but they said they couldn't refund us, so we had to spend a few more days in this dirty, disgusting place.

The spa is small, but it's well cared for and has great facilities. The food is good quality, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable too. A nice spot to get away from everything.
