Crowne Plaza Maastricht by IHG

The beds were comfortable, though the rooms felt a bit dated and the quality seemed to vary across our group’s rooms. Ours was fine, with a spotless bathroom that felt modern, a great mirror, and strong water pressure. The hotel’s location is a real highlight, and breakfast in the dining room is a treat, with beautiful views over the bridge and water. We also spent a lot of time at the bar. The cocktails were outstanding, and even with the crowds the staff stayed very friendly. The team felt genuinely warm and welcoming, which, in my opinion, is what makes this place stand out. At breakfast the coffee arrived promptly, and staff checked in often to see if we needed anything. On Saturday, a cheerful chef made my eggs with a huge grin, thanks for that. Sunday was a sharp contrast, with a sullen guy at the station who wouldn’t even make eye contact while taking orders. It was a nice stay. Check the photos for a look at our room.

The location is very good, right by the center, and breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly and top notch, so we’ll certainly come back. Check-in felt a bit distant, though. The woman checking us in seemed to have forgotten her smile and a warm welcome. Aside from that, everything was good.

Looking forward to seeing Gemma, Lydia, and Rodion again next December when we come back. Gemma and Lydia were amazing at breakfast, and Rodion from the FO went above and beyond to help us. He even remembered us from our last stay.

The restaurant’s location and view are beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and had everything a person could need, and the staff worked really hard to keep the service great. Everything was done to a good standard.
