Some of the best asparagus around comes from this farm, and one of my friends who usually has allergic reactions to asparagus didn’t react to these. The owners care deeply about both farming and their guests. You can stay in Maastricht, but it’s much more fun to walk the short way back to this B&B and wake up surrounded by farmland. The farm sits near the Belgian border, where Napoleon’s soldiers entered to wage war at Maastricht. It’s only a 15-minute walk to the city center, and there are bus stops nearby. A day or two here, or even longer, is hard to beat. This is a lovely part of Maastricht, and we’ll definitely return.

I went there today and last week too. The sign says it’s open until 18:00, but when I stopped by at 14:30, nobody was there and the doors were closed.

We had a blast, and the asparagus meal was delicious. They have everything you need to make a fantastic one. It’s organic, too, and the wine is from Sint Pieter. Amazing!

I spent a lot of time helping out at this farm as a kid, or getting in the way. The products are top-notch, especially the asparagus right now. It’s grown in South Limburg Loess, and you can taste the fuller flavor. Highly recommended.
