The owners were easy to talk to and helpful, and breakfast was filling and tasty. Marknesse is close enough to walk to, with a few restaurants and a bar. My room had a sitting space, a little terrace, and a roomy shower and toilet. WiFi was weak, though I only stayed one night, so I can't say if that's usual. Good value, and a very friendly, straightforward B&B.

Such kind hosts, a lovely setting, and a really good breakfast. We only booked one night, which was a shame.

We had plenty of room, and it was set up in a practical way. There was even a small cooking area in the anteroom, with dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots and tea towels supplied, plus use of the refrigerator. The bathroom was spacious and modern, and breakfast came in generous portions. The van Kempen couple were warm, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. We'd happily recommend staying here.
