Our family ended up one tent short after a mix-up, and the owner helped us find a solution that worked. The staff were helpful and sensible, with guests clearly a priority. It's very dog friendly too, and the accommodation and location were both really nice.

The showers were a real highlight, some of the best we had during two weeks camping in the Netherlands. The pipes can get too hot to touch, though, and there's no recycling. The campground itself is tidy and friendly, with full services, lovely birdlife, and a spot almost perfectly between Medemblik and the Ijsselmeer.

The owners made the stay especially pleasant, and the scenery around the lodges is beautiful. Inside, ours was warm and had everything we needed. I'd love to come back sometime.

The hosts made us feel welcome, and everything was super clean. There are large, open fields for camping, plus free WiFi, washing machines, showers and a common room. Two people paid €17.50 per night.

We had a lovely view over the fields and found the spot peaceful. It's a bit of a walk into town. Oddly, they wouldn't let us empty the motorhome's grey water on site.
