Everything was so restful at Dirosa. Apart from birdsong, it was absolutely quiet, and we've been coming back several times a year for a long time. The friendly host brings breakfast to the room, where you can eat it or, in good weather, enjoy it on the terrace beside a small canal, looking toward a neighboring horse farm. Dirosa has two well-equipped rooms, each with a shower and toilet, plus a kitchenette with cooking facilities and a refrigerator. It's a very cozy B&B near the Ijsselmeer.

The only snag for us was the small parking space: our car wouldn't fit if another car was already there. There is street parking too. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, we slept wonderfully, and the breakfast was excellent. A good B&B in a small West Frisian village.
