The place itself was fine, and the hosts were very nice. A heads-up about access, though: my apartment was up two very long flights of stairs, which was difficult because I’m handicapped. The Bookings.com photo gave a misleading impression, and I couldn’t really see the water from my apartment. Parking is free across the water, but spaces can run out; getting back means crossing the bridge, which could also be a problem for someone with a disability. I’d recommend contacting the owners beforehand if you’re handicapped.

Really cozy, clean apartment, and it was quiet at night, which we appreciated. Getting into town and walking to the bus stops was easy.

The hosts were incredibly helpful, and the apartment felt like home. It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. A lovely place to stay in Monnickendam, highly recommend!

The apartment is only around 15-20 minutes from Amsterdam's’ center, and night buses make getting back later on easy too. Monnickendam itself looks like a postcard and is worth wandering around. We had a great weekend: the apartment was beautiful to stay in, pleasing to look at, and really well equipped. The hosts were sweet and caring. A 10/10 experience.

Apartments Waterland made for a peaceful, comfortable stay. The bathroom had both a shower and bathtub, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The town is very quiet, good for resting, and a lovely starting point for exploring this magnificent country. Thank you, Joke and Peter. I hope I can come back for another holiday soon. I hotel to see you soon.
