After a full day cycling from Volendam in strong winds, the jacuzzi bath was just what I needed. The room was fabulous, and our host was so welcoming and helpful. She even let us store our bikes in her garage. Five stars!

The apartment was stylish and stunning, and we loved our stay. The owners greeted us warmly when we arrived. Just a couple of things to know: the staircase is narrow, and with four people sharing, the toilet is in the main bedroom's ensuite. Neither bothered us, and we had a lovely time.

A walk through the streets of Narden is well worth it; the town makes an impression if you haven't visited the Netherlands before. We found it easy to head to Amsterdam by train, though the station is a 20-minute walk away. Tickets cost 20 euro for two round trips. At the apartment, the friendly owners were very helpful, and free parking is available nearby if you have a car. Breakfast was a great start to the day, with fresh crusty breads, juice squeezed on site, cheese, butter, meat, coffee or tea, and jam. Everything about the place was amazing.

This could be a really special place because the location is great, but it needs more attention to cleaning. There was a thick layer of dust on the Velux windows and fan, which I found pretty nauseating. The fake flowers and extra soft furnishings felt like dust and germ traps, and made it seem more like someone's home than a holiday apartment.
