Really good food for a fair price. A solid place to go when you want a good meal. You don’t have to reserve, but booking ahead is a better bet if you want to be sure of getting a table.

That €25.50 steak was a real letdown. The dessert, at least, was pretty good.

I really liked the area around Groede. It’s a charming little town and everyone we met was friendly. The hotel staff were helpful too, both when we checked in late and when they suggested places to see. We arrived after the kitchen had closed, but they pointed us to a nearby restaurant that was still open and saved the evening for me. I’d definitely come back to Groede and Room 4 for another beach weekend.

We stopped in during a walk around Groede and had a lovely break. The room’s decor is stylish and a little fancy, while still feeling rural. The coffee and hot chocolate are good choices, and the kids’ playroom is especially well equipped.
