The staff were very professional and service-minded, and offered me a welcome drink of my choice. I went with a draft beer. My room at the "Van der Valk Hotel Nuland - 's-Hertogenbosch" was spacious enough for three, with excellent beds for two plus one and plenty of electrical outlets. It was in the first-floor annex, which is reached only by stairs, something I hadn't noticed when booking. The bathroom was just as roomy, with a separate shower, toilet and bathtub, and a sliding door between it and the living and sleeping areas. At the roughly 2-meter-wide desk, two people could work with a laptop or tablet, and there were two chairs and a landline phone. The room also had two lounge chairs and a small table, plus a wall-mounted TV above the desk. There was air conditioning, though I found its operation well managed. Storage was ample, with a small fridge, coffee and tea facilities, and a safe. I also spotted a Van der Valk umbrella in a cupboard, available to borrow or buy. The lighting was well managed too. I have every confidence breakfast is excellent here as well.

Recently renovated and looking classy, with friendly employees and an excellent breakfast. The beds were good too. The rain shower head was a little low for me at 6'9" (2.05 mtr), and the A/C was a bit noisy.

The service was nice, but the food fell well below mediocre. My schnitzel was small and chewy, tasted like it had come from an air fryer, and the crust came away from the meat. There was no lemon or butter. The steak was chewy as well. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back.
