Prins Hendrik Bungalowpark

There’s a car park, space for bikes, and a playground for kids. The hotel is in the northeast of Texel, and the rooms are nicely decorated with bird pictures. The restaurant is reasonably priced too, but it gets busy, so you need to book a table.

The place, crew, restaurant, and design were all wonderful until the lawn was cut while we were having breakfast. Instead of croissants and coffee, we had the noise and gasoline smell. I complained, and the crew said there’s no perfect time to mow. What a letdown. Please find a better time to cut the grass. I gave it 10/10 on booking, and I hope I don’t regret that.

Breakfast had lots of choice, and we had a lovely stay in a beautiful spot on Texel. The staff welcomed us warmly, including our dog, and the dog biscuits in the bedroom were a nice touch. The room was clean and pleasant, though the shower had little power and the water drained so slowly that the bath filled while we showered.

We stayed in a bungalow, which was reasonably comfortable, with a modern kitchen and a nice outdoor area. The bedrooms and bathrooms could use updating, and none of the extractor fans worked. The main hotel looks great after its renovation since our visit four years ago, and the service from all the staff is still exceptional. Other family members stayed in hotel rooms and were very happy.
