Gr8 Hotel Oosterhout

The rooms were nice and modern, which makes it a pity I wouldn’t stay here again. I spent a couple of nights here a few months ago, and they should be upfront that half the hotel is occupied by asylum seekers. You don’t feel safe there. They also advertise parking in front of reception in case of burglaries. They should be honest about how they run the hotel.

The room stayed dim all the time because the curtains had to be drawn fully, and there were no shutters. It was on the ground floor, with its window facing a busy street and nearby parking area, but this wasn’t mentioned when I booked. People could walk extremely close to the window, so there was very little sense of privacy or security.

We paid 200 euro for a family room for four, with our daughter, who is 21. Nobody told us that the second and third floors were booked for young immigrants. I didn’t leave my daughter alone. Never again. Next time I’ll first check who’s staying in the hotel.

The breakfast room was clean and beautiful, and the buffet had plenty of choices. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and cozy. Staff were very helpful and ready to assist customers. I know where I’ll stay on my next visit to Netherland.
