Knusse Natuur Bungalow Hartje Veluwe

The location is excellent and the place is clean, but several little things need attention. We tripped over a squeegee left by the hallway door, and the light above the sofa has no bulb. The TV reception is poor, with no sound and snowy channels. There are only two mismatched beer glasses. They ask you to put laundry in a basket, but there isn’t one. The listing says there’s a fan, which isn’t true, though fortunately we brought our own. At 70, I can’t reach the upper kitchen cupboards and can’t climb onto a chair, so a step stool would help. The guestbook mentions a welcome gift, but I didn’t see one. The sofa sags, especially on one side, so I ended up using a garden chair. A bedroom window screen would be very useful because opening the window lets in lots of insects. One set of towels for a week feels like too little, especially with just one tea towel and one dishcloth. I also missed lidded plastic bowls for storing things in the fridge, and a tray would be handy. There were weeds between the patio stones, so the garden doesn’t seem to get much attention. These are small issues, but if nobody points them out, they can’t be fixed, and then things should be fine.

The house was lovely and clean, with a nice garden and patio furniture. TV reception was poor, which was the one downside. The area around it is beautiful for cycling.
