The hosts were extremely helpful, and there was even a cuddly cat. We could pick sweet, ripe plums and cherries straight from the tree, a real luxury! The place has a cozy feel, with stylish vintage decor and lots of wood for the fireplace or a campfire. It's wonderfully quiet, clean, and spacious, with superb beds, plenty of storage, an ideal refrigerator, and a perfect kitchenette. The shower was wonderfully warm too.

We'd love to come back. It's a great place for families with children, and dogs are welcome too. The hosts were very friendly and breakfast was great. The comfortable furnishings make it feel like stepping back in time, and it's an ideal spot to relax and get away from everyday life. Thank you so much!

The caravan was very clean and had everything we needed, and its retro decor really brings back the 70s. It was quiet, with a spacious garden, and the central heating kept the inside warm and dry. The bathroom had plenty of space and a good shower. The kids were fine in the bunk beds, though the double bed was only just big enough for us two, and I'm 1.90m tall. The caravan has enough room for a small young family, and the people were incredibly friendly and easy to reach by phone. We stayed two nights at the start of our holiday, near the Pieterpad trailhead. A few things went wrong, apparently because of a combination of circumstances. We were meant to have breakfast, but if I hadn't mentioned it, we wouldn't have had any. For a family of four, it was a bit meager: a little bread with jam, eggs, and a piece of cheese, although it was all very fresh. We also had just one roll of toilet paper for the whole family and very little coffee. We could have brought groceries, since Pieterburen doesn't have a grocery store, but without a car we had to go to Baflo ourselves to shop. The bread from the local bakery, which is also owned by the cottage owners, was VERY fresh and delicious. We don't all like rye bread, but it was the best rye bread we've ever had. If you want peace and quiet, we highly recommend the place. All in all, our stay was decent, but we personally wouldn't hurry back. It was fine for one stay, though we think there are better nearby options for a family passing through, especially with a dog.

Back to basics, but we really enjoyed the blissful peace and quiet.
