It’s so peaceful here that you can properly unwind and switch off. The setting is beautiful, the place is always clean and well maintained, and the atmosphere is soothing. The welcome is warm every time, and the staff are consistently kind, respectful, and professional, whatever your background. Every visit is a pleasure. It felt like a fairy tale: everything was green, the room was perfect, and everyone was kind. We hadn’t reserved breakfast, but we told the receptionist we wanted it, and he booked it for us. I wish I’d had more time to stay a couple of days. Thank you for everything. 🥰

There’s plenty of parking behind the place, and it’s only a short walk from the car to the room. The grounds and moat are lovely for a wander. Our room had a comfortable bed, a good-sized shower, a coffee machine and a mini fridge, handy for evening snacks in bed. A beautiful spot!

An otter swam past in the dyke beside our room, which was a lovely surprise. The staff were friendly, the rooms were great, and we especially liked the underfloor heating by the entrance. We also really enjoyed the brasserie food. Thanks to everyone for making our stay such a pleasure.

The gardens are beautiful, and the setting for high tea was lovely. The service, though, was incredibly slow. It took us more than three hours to finish, and after a lovely first course, the second and third had only one small item each. Waiting more than 45 minutes for a scone felt odd.
