Whenever I visit this town, at least once a year, I love being able to dine in this beautiful castle overlooking the river Maas. You can watch all kinds of seafaring vessels pass by, and the view is incredible. The history feels visible and palpable, and the service is great. You’ll regret passing it by!

The river view from this restaurant is lovely, though a few things could be better. We had to ask the waitress what drinks were available because none were listed on the menu. The burgers were OK, but nothing special, and the meat seemed to be a frozen patty. They also brought the burgers without any tissues, and there weren't any on the tables.

The view is the cherry on top, and the food and drinks were delicious. We celebrated a birthday here with my family and three toddlers, and the staff were really kind and patient. 5/5, we'd absolutely recommend it.

My room had a lot of charm and was laid out over two levels, with the bedroom upstairs reached by a steep, narrow staircase. The river view was lovely, even from the bathroom, so you could watch the ships while showering. The location and restaurant were very nice too. Dinner's three courses were good, the wine was very good, and the dessert was decent. Breakfast was OK, though, like breakfasts in the Netherlands generally, it wasn't especially impressive.
