If you're coming to the Netherlands for work and considering this hotel, I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a bike or car. It's far out, with the nearest shop about 3-3.5 km away. After work, if you have no transport and need to go buy something, even bread, you'll be walking on your feet when you should be getting a good night's sleep. Another 7 km and you'd collapse. Maybe the hotel worked well once, but that was a while ago. That's all I have to say about its location for now.

The staff were friendly, the drinks were nice, and the setting is beautiful. I liked the billiards and piano in the lobby, too. But the food, both lunch and dinner, is disgusting. The wine tastes awful, the breakfast coffee is undrinkable, and the fruit isn't fresh. It all seems chosen for price instead of taste. The rooms are clean and spacious enough, but look like they haven't been renovated or improved since the 80s. A beautiful place like this deserves better.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the house white wine and snacks were nice. Our room had two separate beds and was pretty basic, but oh well, it was actually a conventional "hotel". Our nearby hotel had turned out to be overbooked. We didn't use the rest.
