Alberti B&B (Bed & Bike)

The owner was so friendly and full of local tips. I loved my night in Rotterdam here, and next time I'll come back for longer.

The hosts know Rotterdam inside out, and the neighborhood is lovely and pleasant. The city center is about a fifteen-minute walk away. The rooms are beautiful too. Glad I found my new regular place to stay.

Dorona made us feel at home right away. She explained the city, lent us her bicycles for the next few days, and suggested great places to eat and drink. We were welcomed by the charming owner, a young woman around our age, with her beautiful baby. Alberti B&B is a Dutch home in the heart of Rotterdam, a few kilometers from the central station and just above Delfshaven. The first flight of stairs is steep and awkward with suitcases, but the rest of the apartment worked perfectly for us. There's a spacious bedroom, a living area where you can have breakfast in your room, and a roomy bathroom with a large bathtub. The owner provides a Nescafe machine and pods, which is a real treat given that coffee in Holland is gold and, to us, also disgusting. The only drawback was having to pay in cash. Still, Dorona's pleasant company and availability won us over.

The bikes were a big plus, and the host was very friendly. We had a bright, welcoming room and got excellent tips for seeing the city. A wonderful place to stay, highly recommended.
