For a short, straightforward city stay, this little place near Rotterdam Centraal is good value. It has character and feels more like a townhouse than a hotel, with warm, understated staff. The rooms are basic but spotless, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The stairs are steep and the amenities are limited, though the location and price make up for that.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and there’s a lovely park nearby. We stayed four nights and found the beds comfortable and the bathroom clean. It isn’t a luxury hotel, but at this price it has what you need. I’d recommend it if you’re visiting Rotterdam and plan to spend your days out rather than in the room.

Rotterdam Centraal is about a five-minute walk away, which was really handy. Dirk and Albert Heijn are also within a 7-10 minute walk. The room was small but clean, and fine for sleeping. My only complaint was the tiny washbasin, which was awkward to use.

The owners were helpful, friendly, and professional. My room was on the top floor at the back and had a small, pleasant balcony. The toilets and showers were shared, but very clean. It was also surprisingly quiet for such a central hotel in an old building. I hope I can return.

The bed was comfortable, the people were friendly, and breakfast was lovely with a really impressive range of options. The place was spotless and comfortable, too. I’m quite particular, but this met every expectation. Great value, and I totally recommend it.
