I've visited twice before in a tank top with my tattoos showing, and a kind waiter treated me politely each time. Today I came just for coffee, but the bartender told me to cover up, saying older customers shouldn't have to see someone with lots of tattoos. I refused and left right away. I won't stay somewhere that doesn't respect people as they are. The managers should be ashamed if this is the service and attitude they allow. Everyone deserves respect whatever they look like. No one should be made to feel ashamed or told to hide their appearance. If that's really the policy, be honest and put up a sign saying: “Entry allowed only for tattooed people who agree to cover themselves.”

We were sitting outside for a drink and a smoke when they asked us to take off our hoodies. It was the middle of December and cold. Treating a customer that way because they aren't Dutch isn't right.

The staff are super friendly, and I really like the atmosphere. It's a nice local bar, with good value meals as well.

Good beer, friendly staff, and heated seats outside. If you're lucky, you'll come across the funny-looking, very affectionate deaf cat.
