The service, the accommodations, and the restaurant at Avenarius have been the best hotel experience I’ve had by far. I’ve travelled widely and stayed in countless hotels over the past 30 years, so that says a lot. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff.

The restaurant was the highlight for me: breakfast had plenty of variety, and the four-course dinner was a perfect choice. The room and bathroom were nice too. I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit, and it’s still perfect. No changes in 02/2025. I’ll book again and definitely recommend it.

We had a fabulous evening meal, with great food and service, and breakfast was extremely good too. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the room was very comfortable. It’s a great hotel in a lovely village, and we’ll definitely return. My only complaint is the bed was extremely soft, like a blancmange, though that’s a very personal preference.

We couldn’t sleep well because the mattresses sagged, and for 130 Euro per night we expected better. We’re not spoiled or especially demanding, but the beds are definitely a problem. The staff were friendly, and the weekend buffet breakfast from 8-11 was good. Decent hotel, just not great.

The restaurant is pleasant, though the menu isn’t very varied. Breakfast had enough variety, and the hotel was very clean with friendly staff. Definitely a good place to stay in Ruurlo.
