The good parts were the central location, early check-in, modern facilities, and an espresso machine with capsules in the room. But the problems outweighed those positives, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We paid 160 eur, but I saw similar complaints from people paying 350, and I’d have been furious at that price. Booking didn’t make it clear that our room was in the basement with basically no windows. At check-in, a hologram spoke English with a heavy accent that made communication harder. She assured us she was “100% real,” which was awkward, and said the basement room was cozy. That’s debatable. It gave us the impression staff might be outsourced to cheaper centers, possibly outside the Netherlands and serving several hotels, with no real human interaction despite premium prices. Going down the stairs felt like being Harry Potter under the stairs. The furniture was modern, but the room was dark and so cramped you had to walk sideways between the bed and wall-mounted TV. The AC couldn’t be set warmer, so it was always cold. The shower door wouldn’t close properly, and two people showering for about five minutes each flooded the whole bathroom. There wouldn’t have been enough towels to soak it up for a stay longer than one night.

It’s a new hotel right in the City centre, with a great view. Breakfast was a little disappointing, just basic stuff, but it’s still a great place to stay and I’d recommend it. Reception is unusual: you talk to a real person through what feels like a live call. It worked well and the staff were very helpful, though I still prefer a regular hotel reception.

We felt safe here and liked the location and the view near Catholic Cathedral. The breakfast box delivered outside our door in the morning was a lovely surprise. Glad we stayed, 5/5.

The beds were really good and the furniture looked beautiful, but the stay felt far too expensive for such a bad experience. The location is great, though the windows aren’t insulated well enough for people to sleep: there was loud noise from the cafes downstairs all night, as well as sounds from other guests inside, like showering and blowing their noses. The room hadn’t been properly cleaned when we arrived. Getting in was confusing too. You have to spell your name at the entrance, but the listener didn’t seem to get it and said, “you are not on our list.” We eventually got to the next step, a hologram, for some reason. The breakfast box was a nice gesture because “our breakfast room is not ready yet,” but as a vegetarian I would have liked to choose in advance.
