The quiet surroundings were just right for relaxing, walking, and cycling, with peaceful nature all around. Petten is a small, calm village that’s gradually turning into a charming resort town. At Boshuisje Petten aan Zee, everything was spotless, cared for, and furnished with a lot of love. The hostess was so welcoming and friendly, and really made an effort to help us feel at home. We’d love to return!

The hostess was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It’s a pretty little apartment with a cozy terrace, right by the woods and close to the beach, about a 10-minute walk away.

The best part was waking up to a view of the forest from bed and watching the sunrise. There’s a sheltered private terrace, and the sea is just 250m away, with the forest right there too. The bathroom was clean and the beds were good. I visited in winter, Jan. 2024, and had a lovely time. I imagine it’s even more perfect in the warmer months. The photos didn’t prepare me for how beautiful the location and interior were. Boshuisje was even nicer in person.

Getting in and out was easy and stress-free with the key safe. The beach and town center are both just 5 minutes away. The landlady is very friendly, and she also runs a kitesurfing school in Petten.

Everything inside the cottage looked neat, including the new sofa, which was very comfortable. The place was super clean and in a beautiful spot right by the sea. Definitely worth another visit!
