Veldzicht

We had a really pleasant stay in this tidy house with its nice rooms. The function room was a lovely bonus for hosting a fun party. Our hostess was kind and helpful. Anja, thanks for having us for our girls’ weekend! :)

I wouldn’t recommend this place. When we arrived, we were told straight away that we couldn’t use several toilets because they were clogged. There was no curtain by the skylight in our bedroom. We raised it and were told they’d planned to fix it for years, but nothing had been done, so we’d have to put up with it. We weren’t allowed to move the tables because we’d have to pay a deposit. At checkout, we were told to take our rubbish with us or face a fee. They also kept a €7.50 deposit because a guitar string was broken, though we thought it was already broken.

We spent two nights there with ten people this weekend. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, and has plenty of room and options for groups. The owners were friendly and enthusiastic, communicated clearly, welcomed suggestions, and were happy to help with local activities. I’d recommend it to families or friends wanting a pleasant place for a weekend together. A couple of suggestions: it would help to mention that one towel per person is provided, with extras available on request. Also, Bo needs to go outside, but it’s less pleasant when she does so on the field guests are allowed to use.

Everything was very well arranged, well-kept, and super clean. The owners were really friendly, and I highly recommend the place for groups. One safety concern: there should be a bar on the upstairs door. I worried it might open with nothing to stop someone falling down, especially a small child.
