We were five people in three rooms for a weekend. On arrival, we got a big smile, a warm welcome, and an invitation to sit down. We were given a drink on the house while the check-in and room cards were sorted out, then had a relaxed chat about our trip and weekend plans. The rooms were tidy, clean, and spacious enough. Our bathroom had a bathtub, which my beautiful nubian prinses used. The view from our south-facing room wasn't the best, but we only used it to sleep and shower, so it didn't bother us. After unpacking our necessities, we sat on the terrace, enjoyed the Limburg hills, and planned the evening. Breakfast the next morning offered loads to choose from: fresh breads, oatmeal, American-style pancakes, and yoghurt with different granolas. The coffee machine was good too, with cappuccino, latte, black coffee, and more. Everything was clean and neat. We're already thinking about returning to Hotel Heuvelzicht by Rooding later this year. We highly recommend the hotel and its staff.

The people are what make this place worth choosing for a visit to the region. From the breakfast lady to the thoughtful waiters and the splendid hostess, they create a warm atmosphere and leave you feeling good about your stay. We stayed twice, first in December 2021 to scout for a family weekend in July 2022. It's clean and clearly cared for, and the panoramic rooms are worth paying extra for. A big yes from us.

The owners and staff were attentive and friendly, the location was excellent, and dinner was good. But the room was awful. A strong burnt-plastic smell gave me headaches, and the heaters gurgled noisily all night. For that quality of sleep, it felt a bit overpriced.

The food was very mediocre, which didn't match the stunning view of the hills and surroundings from the outside terrace. Still, it's a great place to stop for coffee or drinks.
