Mercure Hotel Schiphol Terminal

Sloterdijk Station right next door made getting around stress-free. It was quick and easy to reach Amsterdam Central and travel to and from the airport, so this was a solid base for a city visit without paying city centre prices. The hotel felt modern, clean, and well maintained. My room was practical without being cramped, comfortable, quiet, and equipped with what I needed for a short break. I especially appreciated the good soundproofing despite the nearby transport links. The bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out both went smoothly. A reliable, comfortable choice, and I'd happily stay again.

The location is prime because it's in the airport, and the facilities were clean and okay. The receptionists were good natured. Still, 195 euros for such a tiny room, with no breakfast or lunch, felt too expensive and a bit extortionate. There wasn't even enough space between the bed and the folded table to open it. We had to stay there during our transit because we didn't have a Visa to leave the airport for the hotel our airline, KLM, provided. That's not the hotel's fault, but it left us with little choice.

Airport hotels seem unfairly expensive to me, since they basically have no competition, but this was okay for what it was. I paid 139 euros for a nice room with a bathroom. It was small, but fine for a rest, and had a shower and everything else.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the location couldn't be better. The rooms were clean and had a handy small refrigerator. I slept very comfortably in the bed, and breakfast was amazing, with enough to leave you full. I'll be back!
