A peaceful, quiet place to unwind. Mornings bring fresh pastries, and the shop has plenty of treats, including organic eggs. It’s also wonderful to stay somewhere that supports a good cause.

We spent a lovely Whitsun weekend at De Deelderij and understand why people have so many good things to say about this little paradise. The laid-back atmosphere and warm welcome set the tone, and the campsite is attractive and well kept. Even the sanitary facilities stand out: proper little bathrooms, not just shower cubicles. A really top campsite.

We haven't stayed here yet, but the owners have already made a great impression. After we had to cancel our recently booked and paid-for overnight stay at the last minute because of circumstances, they were understanding and sent us a voucher for a free night. We'll be making the trip soon after all. Those first five stars are well earned, and I expect more will follow!

I stayed for two nights in my tent, and the spacious pitches and tidy grounds were lovely. They show you around when you arrive, and the welcome is really friendly. The clean bathrooms feel a bit luxurious, with private enclosed spaces. For hikers, there's a covered place to cook and sit, with an electric stove, kettle, dishes, and pans available. The campsite is right on the Pieterpad, and the bus stop is only 50 meters away.
