Amicitia Hotel

That huge bath with piping hot water was the highlight. We only stayed briefly, but enjoyed it. Reception were friendly and helpful, and the unusual family room still fitted us all in. Some fixtures and fittings were worn, though everything worked.

There was no buffet on Monday, and I didn't have time to wait for a meal to be prepared. The menu wasn't available in English either. Even the local pizza shop has one, so translating it shouldn't be that difficult. I paid 14 euro in advance for breakfast and expected a proper, made-to-order meal. Instead, the buffet was pretty meagre for 14 euro, and I was expected to cook my own eggs. I don't pay to prepare my own food. The property and room quality are quite nice, but that breakfast experience was outrageous.

The rooms are old, and breakfast was really poor. Making guests cook their own eggs in the morning is the stupidest thing I've ever come across. You end up smelling like breakfast, worse than at home, and still pay far too much. Never again!

The interior is dated, but the place works very well as a meeting point. It's easy to reach by highway from every direction, whether you're meeting at the hotel for business or stopping there with business contacts before heading to another meeting. The self-service lunch is handy too.
