The food was delicious, and the staff are amazing. We've visited the restaurant a few times and have always liked the service and atmosphere. My husband and I are visiting from Tasmania, Australia, and we've just bought a boat, so we'll be coming here regularly. During Sneek Week, when the whole city has a huge festival atmosphere, we came in and found a large dog inside. That felt very unusual to us, and since this is more than a cafe setting, a dog didn't seem suitable for the restaurant. We've had dogs in Australia, but I'm not sure a restaurant is the right place for one.

The room was spacious and pleasant, with a great view from the window, and the staff were friendly. The rest was disappointing. To reach the hotel, you have to walk through the restaurant, haul suitcases up stairs, then pass the restaurant's roof and exhaust hoods, where the ready-made food smell is very strong. The room floor was dirty, there were no disposable slippers, and the cramped shower leaves the whole floor wet, including the area by the sink. The in-room kitchen seems intended for longer stays, but it had no dishes or anything else.

We only stayed one night in rooms 11&12, which were huge and really beautiful. Dinner was great too: we had pizza, pesto pasta, a poke bowl and a side salad. Wow!

It feels more like Airbnb-style rooms above a noisy restaurant than a proper hotel. There was a lot of noise. I wouldn't recommend it.

We came from Nijmegen, nearly 170 km away, because my father had surgery at the hospital in this city, and chose this hotel for one night. The room was clean, quiet, and had enough items, with a comfortable bed. The lobby and restaurant looked very stylish, and the staff were friendly. The food could have been better.
