Hilton Royal Parc Soestduinen

Our grandchildren, aged 4 and 7, loved the stay and already want to come back. The King 1 bedroom suite worked perfectly for all four of us, with a king bed and a full double davenport. The pool was great for the kids, though it's about 1.5 meters deep throughout, so bring flotation aids if your children need them. Since the pool, sauna, and steam room are open from 0600 to 2200, there was also a good chance for some time with just the adults. We had dinner at the restaurant and used room service too, both entirely satisfactory. The staff were friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome.

We spent two nights there before Christmas and really enjoyed our stay. The pool is fairly large compared with other DoubleTree hotels, and breakfast was very good, with omelets and a few other small dishes available to order. The restaurant food tasted good, though the menu was quite limited for a two-night stay. Amersfoort and Utrecht are both about a 20-minute drive away.

We only stopped at the Double Tree for a short stay on the way, but all six of us were sorry to leave because we'd enjoyed it so much. The staff were kind and helpful at every step, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches, including fresh cookies and help arranging delivery of a flower bouquet. The spa area was very nice, and even late arrivals can order pizza at the bar in the evening. We plan to return for longer. Thanks for such a warm experience!

A walk in the woods was lovely, with birds singing in the early spring, and the forest around the hotel made the whole place very quiet. Our room was very clean, with a large bathroom and a small tea and coffee machine for the morning on the balcony. The reception and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly. There’s a medium-sized indoor pool, two saunas, and a gym as well. We booked one night and were very happy with the hotel, location, and staff. I’d definitely recommend staying at Hilton Doubletree.
