Maison Village

A beautiful building in a great location, though the welcome could have been warmer.

A top B&B.

We stayed for two nights. The towels were much too old for a hotel, and the trash can should have been emptied during cleaning. The Christmas tree across the street was lit so brightly it was disturbing at night. I’d also prefer coffee makers in the rooms instead of having coffee in a shared area. Breakfast was basic, and the coffee could be better. It wasn't a bad stay, but the attention to detail felt lacking, so I'm not sure we'd book again.

The location is excellent for walking and cycling, and breakfast was fine, though simple. It took us a while to find the entrance, and we had to get the key from a safe. We've stayed at many hotels and B&Bs, and a few things here felt missing. Room 4 on the top floor had a glass-enclosed toilet with no door, so there was no privacy. The owner appreciated the room's charm, but it would have helped to mention this before booking. There were no coffee or tea facilities in the room. There's a station in the shared area downstairs, but reaching it just after getting out of bed is inconvenient. A full-length mirror would have been nice. It felt like a B&B where everything was an extra add-on.
