The spare ribs at Bistro Bar Dok were amazing, and Drago and his team were so welcoming. We ate in the downstairs bar and restaurant during our cycling trip. The room was clean and lovely, with a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and snacks waiting for us. We stayed one night and would happily recommend it if you visit Steenbergen.

We were excited for dinner, but the main course took about an hour and a half to arrive. The food itself was good, though the portions felt small for the fairly high prices. The place wasn't even full, and we'd only ordered two dishes. The waiters were slow and careless, and nobody checked in or explained the delay. Our first visit was disappointing, and we won't be back.

The plastic tent looked lovely, and lunch was a great experience overall. Our food was nicely presented, the wine was delicious, and the staff were quick and helpful. It did get quite hot inside when the weather was warm, like a greenhouse, so dress for that. Highly recommended.

We tried the slow-roasted pork and penne, and both were delicious. The hot shrimp starter was spicy and well prepared too. It's a cozy place, with very polite people and a great range of beers.

We stopped at the bar for drinks, but each round took a while to arrive. They seemed very busy with diners, whose food looked great, and there may have been a shift change while we were there.
